Today, progress reports are going home, which need to be signed/returned by Monday.  Please note that these are NOT report cards, meaning these are not the final grade for the term.  However, please use these progress reports as a tool to discuss with your child what's going well and what can be improved by the end of the term (at the end of October).  Additionally, please note that I give full points back for redone math quizzes and other assignments!  I can also give 1/2 points back for tests.  Please let me know if you have any questions, and  have a wonderful weekend!

Homework: 

1) Math: Please redo low-scoring quizzes and the Unit 2 test (if you didn't already)!  Finally, after sharing it with your parents (and redoing it if needed), please bring back your Unit 2 tests so we can put them in your portfolios!

2) Read 20 minutes and get it signed--remember that every day read must be signed!! 

Items of Business:

*Hoppy Taws: one of our PE teachers sells Hoppy Taws for $1.50 in the morning before school!  (exact change only!)
*Lunch Money: If you bring lunch money and put it in the box at the office, make sure it is labeled with your name, teacher, and grade in an envelope/bag!!

Upcoming Events:

*Friday, Oct. 5: Midterm progress reports going home!  Please make sure you look this over with your child!

*Thursday, October 11: (6:00-7:30 pm, or if you've been to another grade level's parent night for another child, 6:30-7:30) 5th Grade Parent Night!  Please mark your calendar, because you will be looking at your own child's work to learn more about our school and how you can help your child succeed!

*Monday, October 15: Picture day!

*Thur./Fri., Oct. 18 & 19: Fall break!  No school.

*Tuesday, October 23: Boxtops due

*Friday, October 26: Boxtop dress down day

*Friday, Oct. 26: End of 1st quarter!  Your pizza books goals must be reached to earn the pizza party!

*Wednesday, October 31: Halloween Parade at 9 am (from the elementary, to the Jr. High).  Halloween class party later in the afternoon!  :)  Click here for the donation/volunteer sign-up for the party, organized by our Room Parent!
