April 25, 2013

Instead of the Language Arts multiple choice worksheet, tonight's lang. arts homework is a thank you letter to one of the BizTown sponsors!  I sent home a sample letter and a list of the addresses so the students know how to write a business letter.  They should bring them back to school tomorrow, and I will mail them all to BizTown.  For your address at the top of the letter, just use Providence Hall's:
4795 Mt. Ogden Peak Dr.
Herriman, UT 84096

You can just address them as "Dear Sponsor."

Remember that tonight is Boys' Maturation in the gym at 7, and that school gets out tomorrow at 12:30!!

Homework: (Due THURSDAY!)
1) Math: Properties homework, both sides.
2) Language Arts: BizTown business letter, thanking the sponsor of the business you worked at yesterday.  (For instance, if you worked for Prows Construction, use the Prows Construction address in your header).
3) Read 20 minutes & turn in signed reading log!
4) If you didn't already, complete your How the World Works Assessment!  Click here for the rubric!  Remember, you can choose any format--an essay, a skit, a Prezi--but it needs to be neat and informative!
5) Some of you took home your Historical Fiction picture books so you could be ready to participate in our publishing party tomorrow!  Just make sure you bring them back!
6) Missing work
