February 5, 2013

We explored more of the process of cause & effect via a Bill Nye, as well as how humans have stewardship over resources.  Be sure to get going on your wax museum interviews!  Please let me know if you have any questions!
P.S. Please remember that this Friday is a minimal day, which means school gets out at 12:30, and no lunch will be served!
P.P.S. To simplify our increasingly complex posts, I'm no longer including the math resources section, but you can look at older posts if you still want to access them!  I am also taking off instructions on Google Earth, but you can still access that in Games & Practice-->Science.

Homework:
1) Math (7-14 & 7-15): p. 187 odds, p. 189 odds.  Also, redo all low-scoring quizzes & practice/watch videos above!
2) Read 20 minutes (and every single day if your reading log grade is a little low to bring that up!)
3) Spelling due Wednesday!
4) Bring or email a current event each day this week for a $100 bonus!
5) Missing work!
6) Pick a person to interview for your wax museum project--any professional who manages resources!
7) Practice typing games by going to "Games & Practice"-->"Language Arts."  Remember that the DWA will be a typed assessment, so any typing practice you put in now will help! (P.S. Each time you bring in a signed note from your parent saying you spent at least 15 minutes practicing, you'll get a $50 bonus)!

Items of Business:
*Class Store: If you have any extra soda, candy, trinkets, jewelry, or toys that you would like to donate to class store, please send it with your child! We would like to do one more often to serve as a motivator for positive behavior!
